Dear Continental Family,
In countless ways, this past year has been especially brutal. Covid 19 has claimed nearly 3.8 million lives worldwide, the climate is deteriorating, politicians continue to argue, drugs have taken way too many lives, innocent people have too often been killed, unemployment continues, and on and on.
However, through it all, Continental has tried to provide support and respect to our students, staff, teachers and administrators. Have we done our best? Of course not – we can always do better; and we pledge ourselves to improve and stand behind our philosophy of family first because “you are our family; this is our home. Diversity, equity and inclusion live here.
The month of June is particularly important to Continental as it is not only Pride month, but also the month we celebrate the end of slavery in the United States, Juneteenth, (June 19th).
To that end, it would be our honor to provide lunch for all Continental students, staff, teachers, and administrators on Friday, June 18th, 2021.
Please realize that Charlie and I are aware that no family is perfect. But in the words of Vince Lombardi, “Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence”.
Very sincerely yours,
Barb and Charlie
