What You Will Learn
The Esthetics program will cover a comprehensive range of topics to ensure graduates are well-prepared for a career in skincare. Here are some common subjects that an esthetics student will learn in school:
Facial & Waxing Treatments
Perform waxing treatments and various facial treatments such as cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, facial massage, mask application and chemical peels.
Makeup Application
Fundamentals of makeup application.
Product Knowledge
Understanding skincare products, their ingredients, and how to recommend appropriate products for different skin types and conditions.
Skin Analysis
Learning how to assess skin conditions and determine appropriate treatments based on individual client needs.
Client Consultation and Communication
Developing skills in conducting client consultations, identifying client goals and concerns, and communicating treatment recommendations effectively.
Business and Professional Skills
Learning about salon/spa management, customer service, retail sales, and other aspects of running a successful esthetics business.
At Continental, our program will provide a balance of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical training to ensure graduates are competent and confident in providing high-quality skincare services to clients. Additionally, students will also receive training on state laws and regulations related to esthetics practice in New York.
