Budget Beauty Hacks from Home

Looking for some budget beauty hacks you can do right from home? Why break the bank to be all that you can be! Stay home and beauty on with these budget-friendly beauty hacks that will keep you going until you can pamper yourself in your usual salon or stylist’s chair!

Get a little egg on your face

Eggs can bring more to your life than an omelet. Egg whites are a great solution to eliminate puffiness and bags under your eyes. Just dab it on under your eyes, let it dry and rinse off. Oily skin? Apply egg whites all over your face to soak up excess oil. Damaged hair? Beat up a few eggs and apply to your hair for a protein rich, affordable hair treatment!

Plump it up

Can’t get to your esthetician for those lip plumping injections? Try mixing cinnamon, (yes, you heard us, cinnamon) with a little water and rubbing it on your lips. Cinnamon increases the blood flow in the area and results in a slight plumping of the lips.

Baking soda blast

If you’re missing getting that periodic facial and are looking for some exfoliation on the side, mix a few teaspoons of baking soda with your cleaner and gently scrub your face. This hack is also an excellent solution to rid your face of blackheads. Just be sure to rinse it well and apply a good moisturizer after.

Sunshine and lemonade

If you’re naturally lighter hair is longing for some highlights, grab a few lemons and squeeze baby! Then mix with equal parts water, spritz on your hair and hit the sunshine for a bit for sun-kissed highlights. Don’t forget the sunscreen though!

Stay rooted

In desperate need of a touch up of those pesky grey roots? In a pinch, brush on a little mascara at your crown and brush it through to cover grey in a flash!

An apple a day – on your face

Eating one isn’t a bad idea either. Grate half an apple and mix it with a few tablespoons of honey. Apply for 15 minutes and rinse off to prevent breakouts.
